Bhaskarnath Bhattacharyya, an Associate Professor in the School of Vedic Studies, Department of Sanskrit, Faculty of Arts, Rabindra Bharati University specially engaged with research activities, still used to teach Vedic Srautapatha with its commentaries, Brdhmana texts, Vedic ancillary texts and Philosophical texts of Sanskrit Language and Literature. He is traditionally trained to chant Samaveda and Krsna Yajurveda. His two books and more than ten articles, short stories and translations have been published in journals and periodicals of distinction in India. His published books are Srutiprdmdnyam, In Quest of Ambrosia(Ed.).
He happened to be an Assistant Secretary of a monthly Sanskrit periodical-S^ydnandam. His awards and grants include University Gold medal, Umacharan Sarbamangala Gold medal, Satyacharan Maitra Gold medal, Swami Narayan Tirtha Platinum Jubilee Gold medal, Oiikarnath Silver medal and Young Vedic Scholar and Arsa-vidya Bharati, and National Scholarship award. He happens to be the Life-member of the August Institutions like All India Oriental Conference, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (Pune), The Asiatic Society, Sanskrit Sahitya Parishat, Ramakrishna Mission lnstitue of Culture, Golpark (Kolkata) and Prachya Vidya Gavesana Mandiram, New Delhi.
