She has completed her Ph.D from Visva Bharati and her doctoral research work was an interdisciplinary study titled "The Structural Analysis of percussion Instruments used in Folk Songs of the western part of Bengal" in the Year 2012 , Supervised by Swapan Kumar Ghosh and Manas Dasgupta. She Assists Ph.D Scholars in Doctoral research, Supervised by Sri Swapan Kumar Ghosh, and Sri Manas Dasgupta.
An Ex. Student of Rabindra Bharati University has completed her Graduation and Post-Graduation from Rabindra Bharati University. She has joined the Department of Musicology, Rabindra Bharati University as a whole time lecturer in the year 2004. She has completed her Orientation program with 'A' Grade in the Year 2006 from University of Calcutta and two refresher courses and one special summer School with 'A' Grade from Rabindra Bharati University in the year 2008, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University in the year 2013 and University of Calcutta in the year 2013.
Her field of interest includes performing in Rabindra Sangeet, Kirtan, Folk and Classical Songs.
She is a member of ICPA. She has participated and conducted seminars and workshops held in her Department and other Department of Rabindra Bharati University.
She has a Music Album of Rabindra Sangeet.
